           The town of Ixtapan de la Sal was a Pre-Hispanic spa settlement and as history goes the Aztecan emperor, Moctezuma, used to take a hot bath in the local thermal springs and rested after his battles. The actual village dates back to the XVI century.
        Nearby, the residents can encounter some interesting places to visit, like the Teotenango's pyramid, the important Ceremonial Center of the Matlazinca culture, the beautiful colonial town of Taxco, Villa Guerrero town, producer and international exporter of flowers, the Cacahuamilpa y de la Estrella's  Grotto with his impressive stalactite formations, along with various artisan producing local art and crafts.
